Professional Medical Consultations

Our General Practitioner offers a range of consultation durations to accommodate your healthcare needs:

• Standard Consultation: A 30-minute appointment suitable for addressing one or two health concerns.

• Long Consultation: A 1 hour session designed for more complex issues or multiple concerns.

• Prolonged Consultation: A 1 hour and 30 minute or longer appointment for comprehensive evaluations, including chronic disease management, mental health plans, or detailed health assessments.

 

Please note that consultation fees may vary based on duration and complexity. Consultations can include vaccinations and specialist referrals. Specialist Referrals 

Our General Practitioner offers comprehensive specialist referral services to ensure you receive timely and appropriate care. If your health condition requires specialized attention, your GP will assess your needs and provide a referral to a suitable specialist.

Key Features:

• Consultation Required: A face-to-face consultation with your GP is necessary to discuss your health concerns and determine the appropriate specialist care. 

• Referral Validity: Specialist referrals are typically valid for 12 months. It's important to ensure your referral is current when scheduling an appointment with the specialist. 

• Medicare Rebates: With a valid referral, Medicare may cover part of the cost for specialist consultations. However, some specialists may charge above the Medicare Benefits Schedule fee, leading to out-of-pocket expenses. 

• Digital Referrals: In NSW, electronic referrals (eReferrals) are available for many public outpatient services, streamlining the referral process and improving communication between healthcare providers.

Vaccinations

Our General Practitioner offers a comprehensive range of vaccination services to protect you and your family from preventable diseases. We adhere to the Australian National Immunisation Program (NIP) and provide both government-funded and private vaccines.

Our General Practitioner provides comprehensive Driving Medical Assessments to determine your fitness to drive, in accordance with Transport for NSW requirements. These assessments are essential for individuals over 75, those with certain medical conditions, or commercial drivers.

• Age-Based Medical Reviews: Annual assessments for drivers aged 75 and above to maintain their licence. 

• Medical Reviews for Heavy Vehicle Drivers: Regular assessments for drivers holding a class MC licence, with frequency increasing with age.

Spirometry Lung Function Testing

• Quick and Painless: The procedure typically takes about 10 minutes and involves placing electrodes on your chest, arms, and legs. 

• No Special Preparation Required: You can eat and drink as usual before the test. However, avoid using lotions on your chest, as they may interfere with electrode adhesion. 

• Medicare Rebates Available: Eligible patients may receive Medicare rebates for the ECG service. Please bring your Medicare card to the appointment.
